It's always nice to find a lily pond, with some ducks. Such a lovely spot for some restful contemplation.
But when you look for a while longer you notice something else.

Ducklings stumbling over lily pads looking to snack on insects is perhaps the cutest thing I've ever seen.

One of the best things about this time of year. Baby animals! Around here we are seeing calves, lambs, soon colts. Later there will be baby antelope, they are hard to photograph though because when you get the car stopped, mama runs away with baby close behind.
They were difficult to see at first and I would have missed them without the close-up shots. Very cute!
they are adorable, and clever, why swim when you can float.
That is just beyond words adorable. They blend right in, which is probably a good thing for the little guys.
