VIVID Festival

There were over 30 light installations that formed the Vivid Festival. Some were obviously big drawcards like The Opera House and Customs House. The others were scattered around Circular Quay and The Rocks.

Some were just to look at, and ponder.

Some were interactive for the kids

Peddling hard to power the hula hoop lights in the trees

Jumping about to splash some paint on the MCA
And then they painted the whole town red

And purple

And blue

Saturday Snapshot, is a wonderful weekly meme from at home with books.

Again, more of that great light festival. I loved the amazing colors. Can't imagine peddling to keep the lights on. Hard work! Thanks so much for sharing more of this with us!

Oooh I'd love a couple of the jellyfish lights - they'd go a treat on my balcony! :)

Where was this? It looks wonderful. My friend and I attended something like this one year and boy did we walk a lot. But it was great funl

Kay- it was incredible. The peddling to keep the lights on was VERY hard- especially for adult sized people on low bikes. Fun though. Sadly this will be the end of my Vivid posts.

Kath- that would look astonishging. Not sure the Swiss are ready for such things. They changed colours too!

Irene- this was an amazing festival on the shores of Sydney Harbour, that finished earlier this month. It was breathtaking.

I love how artistic they got with the lights, especially in those first few photos. All of them are neat though!
