Patisserie des Reves

I'm going to Paris again soon- for the fourth time! I'm more than a bit excited of course. One of the places that I'll be visiting again is the extraordinary Patisserie des Reves- definitely the patisserie of my dreams.

We went to their lovely rue de Bac store quite a few times last year. We were staying around the corner, which did help.

Sometimes it was quite empty,
sometimes there's a queue out the door

The pastries are artfully displayed
as all things of beauty should be

We couldn't possibly taste all the
deliciousness on offer

I've waxed lyrical about the Lemonta Citron before

But only had a taste of a Paris- Brest
They package everything so carefully so you can get it home in one piece

There are Viennoiserie too

Sadly untried

They have ice creams set up in the summer too

I can't wait to visit Patisserie des Reves again.

Those pastries are works of art. You made me hungry! My husband and I hope to visit Paris in the coming year, and we'll definitely schedule a stop at Patisserie des Reves while we're there.
Here's the link to my snapshots: Cinque Terre.

I hope you have a great trip. Those cakes look so delicious, and I love the big glass display domes.

I love those little pink picks holding everything in place - what attention to detail. Have a wonderful time (how can you not, in Paris?)!

Such gorgeous photos! Now I definitely want to go to Paris, sooner rather than later. Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.

I'm so excited for your visit, I feel like I'm going. I guess that means you'll have to eat an extra share for me.

I have never had one of their pastries-the store intimidates me with the pastries under the domes. Last time I was there I asked the girl for directions-what I was looking for was around the corner-she sent me on a goose chase.

Oh, and take a look at Éclair de Génie, which opened about 18 months ago. You can guess why I was drawn to it. (sourire)
