Noisy miners are native Australian honeyeaters. They shouldn't be confused with the introduced pest Indian Mynah.
This little fellow was fabulous.
He tolerated me peering through the bushes. He moved about within the bush a little bit (he was in the grevillea), but then he let me push some branches out of the way.
Until I got the perfect shot. And it was even in focus and sharp!
Saturday Snapshot, is a wonderful weekly meme from at home with books

He's a stunner, isn't he? Makes me homesick for my parents' place in Victor Harbor, SA where Miners are frequent visitors to their garden.
Except for his yellow beak he's completely camouflaged!
He's very cool and that photos are amazing. Have fun learningn your new camera!
He's a stunning bird! Love the orange beak. Thanks for sharing with us and good luck with your new camera!
What fun to capture these shots with your new "toy." Enjoy!

My, what big eyes you have! He was a great model and it's a great picture.
I'm jealous of your new camera and the fabulous wildlife. Can't wait to see more pictures. Here's Mine
I'm glad you brought up the difference, because I thought he looked a lot like the mynahs we saw in Hawaii on vacation. Amazing that he sat there so still for you!
His beak adds color to the wintry scene!
Congrats on the new camera. Nice detailed shots. The yellow and orange pops nicely.
He looks like he is posing for you. I love when I find a bird that will stay still.
aww, so a cute bird, I have never seen one of those before. Congrats on the new camera! Hope you get lots of amazing shots this year! Book Savvy Babe
What gorgeous shots, you are really getting the hang of that camera!
That bird is so excellently camouflaged -- well, except for the blazing yellow Best-Buy tag behind the eye!
I love these bird close-ups :) Looks like he's dressed for something special with his yellow beak, striking yellow eye shadow and the streak of yellow in his feathers :)
Lovely photos...Just love how he was so cooperative for you and your new camera...Can't wait to see all the great photos you take with it!
A cooperative bird is a rare thing. That's a great series of photos. Keep enjoying the new camera!
His eyes are HUGE! Can't believe he posed that long. Great Capture.
Glad that he was such a cooperative subject!
Very cool looking bird! Have fun with the new camera.
Well you are certainly putting your new camera to good use! I've never seen a noisy miner. I love the yellow of its beak and around its eyes.
