Interesting list. I think I've read about 8 3/7 (or 2.5/7 as I didn't finish the third Harry Potter. I would add another book to this list, I shall not hate by Izzeldin Abuelaish. It's a bit in the I am Malala style,

Hi Sue, I'm ok- thanks for checking, I was just being moderately flippant.

I've never heard of the book you'd add, but it sounds interesting. I would add The Secret Diary of Hendrik Groen 83 1/4, a delightful Dutch book I read a few months back.

Oh good ... just wanted to check. I reviewed I shall not hate after my reading group did it. It is really an astonishing book on a few levels.

I love the idea of books for restoring your faith in humanity. Mountains Beyond Mountains is definitely a book like that as is Unbroken. I wonder if I could make up my own list.
