These colours are all but a distant memory now. We've already shivered through the first cold snap, and the first snow of the winter and many frosty mornings.

Absolutely gorgeous! Still, I'm glad autumn will keep away for another few months. ;)
I can fully understand that feeling. While I love the beauty of autumn, I never like the imminent winter.
