I love seeing themes pop up from the streets of Paris. I was surprised to notice the ongoing influence of Piet Mondrian in Paris.
Piet Mondrian was a Dutch painter, his nonrepresentational form is apparently called
neoplasticism.

We had seen an Yves St Laurent Mondrian dress at
Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. I didn't know at that stage that it was the start of a trend.

Nice! The Mondian cafe changed their awning and went even more Mondrianesqu on your accout evidently.
What fun to notice a trend. It looks similar to Art Deco to me. What do you think? Here’s my Dreaming of France meme
I have always like Piet Mondrian's work. I've seen many dresses in that style lately over here. I do like this post!
Thanks for the update Carol, I can't wait to see the changes.
I'd never thought about the art deco connection, but Mondrian was doing this work in the 1920s and 30s, so I think you're pretty cluey.
Thanks Jeanie. The dresses do look lovely, not that I think they'd suit me, but they have classic, crisp lines.
I currently have two of those supermarket bags in my car for use in our supermarkets. A little bit of France in my everyday life. (They are also really strong!)
Hi , I saw these in Paris too , love them , very different ..thanks for sharing , will look out for more on my next trip :-)
I love the dress - it's gorgeous, although I suspect it would blow the budget!!
I've been a Mondrain fan since my trip to NY and the MOMA in 2007.
