And it's always fabulous to see some birds. This duck was standing about in the tree on one leg for ages.

And this one was gone in a moment. But there are lots of them around at the moment, I'm seeing them pretty much every day on my walks.

thanks for sharing ...
ReplyDeletegreat photos :-)!
Lovely! It's beautiful at the moment in Adelaide - blossom everywhere.
ReplyDeleteEven Sydney is having a glorious blossoming spring this year :-)
ReplyDeleteOne of your pinks is a daisy and did I also spy a jacarandah bud?
Maybe the first pic is a hibiscus?
They made my eyes itch and nose twitch from here!!
Beautiful pictures!! Thanks for sharing! beth beth's book-nook blog
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing from a long way away in Missouri (but we have a terrific Botanical Garden here, which is the only reason I have any guess at all), but I think the top two are of a cherry tree, a double blossom variety. The next one appears to be a pink dogwood.
ReplyDeleteI'm stuck after that!
Nice photos!

Wow! As we go into a glorious fall, it's so nice to see an equally glorious springtime unfolding down under! Beautiful flowers and that kingfisher is just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos but that kingfisher is stunning!
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are beautiful. The one pink with four petals does look like a dogwood. I like the duck too and the color on the kingfisher is amazing. Great photos. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSometimes knowing too much information spoils it--I'd rather just enjoy the flowers and not worry about their names--what if it's not a pretty name? :)
ReplyDeleteLive the color of the kingfisher. The flowers are awesome too, my sis would know the name of each....I however, do not. But I like them even though they are nameless.
ReplyDeleteI'm posting a Fall photo, you a Spring one. I'd love to know the names of the lovely flowers.
ReplyDeleteAnne's Snapshot Saturday
oh my those flowers are absolutely divine! the first two pictures are my favorite ~ that shade of pink is my "signature color!" and wow, the kingfisher is such a vibrant color! beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteThere's something that makes your breathing lighter in the spring, don't you think? Thanks for sharing that. The flowers are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous flowers. THANKS for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a Saturday Snapshot, but wanted to stop by anyway.

All of these are completely new to me. Beautiful, as truly exotic-looking things always are.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! It is always fun to see pictures from the other hemisphere!
ReplyDeleteThose two images are the same plant- in the orchard part of the gardens. Possibly a cherry or plum.
ReplyDeleteI do think that third one is a dogwood. There are a number of these trees around here, it's nice to discover what they are.
The two purple flowers are the same plant. The second one just an individual unopened- not a jacaranda. The flowers looked a bit like a tree form of foxglove. I don't know if that exists though.
