It's always nice to find a lily pond, with some ducks. Such a lovely spot for some restful contemplation.
But when you look for a while longer you notice something else.
Possibly the cutest thing ever.
Ducklings on water lily pads!
I love the Monet-esque feel to this one (completely accidental) |
I wish I'd thought to take a video, but I didn't.
Ducklings stumbling over lily pads looking to snack on insects is perhaps the cutest thing I've ever seen.
Saturday Snapshot, is a wonderful weekly meme from at home with books
Oh my gosh, they are adorable! We had goslings in our neighborhood last year and I loved watching them.
ReplyDeleteThat is definitely cute. The enlarged pictures are so adorable.
ReplyDeleteDuckling boats.
How lovely and delightful! I agree that the Monet-esque imagery is grand. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, what delightful photos! And so great that you took the time to look hard enough and well enough to discover such hidden treasure. :)
ReplyDeleteCuteness overload! So gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteTotally awesome! Artistic and cute. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHere's MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT POST
The ducklings are so tiny and sweet.
ReplyDeleteHaha! How cute is THAT !?! I love the markingson these ducks too ... those dramatic dark lines swooping around the eyes ... like kohl eyes on Cleopatra!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, and oh how cute the ducklings are.
ReplyDeleteTHANKS for the closeups. Couldn't make out the ducklings until you put in the closeups. :)

My Saturday Snapshot
Once again, I'm amazed by your beautiful photographs. What an eye you have! Those ducklings are adorable.
ReplyDeleteThat is super cute! I have never seen that before!
ReplyDeleteIt is possibly the cutest thing I've ever seen. And a delightfully spring-ish sight for me on this dismal day in Texas. Thank you, Louise.
ReplyDeleteThat is too adorable. Great find. Here's Mine
ReplyDeleteWhat interesting photos! You're right, the ducks are so blended in it's just hard to see them. But I'm sure while you were there, you could see movement. What a wonderful sighting!
ReplyDeleteVery hard to see them at first. Very cute.
ReplyDeleteWhat great photos they made me smile on a cold dark Saturday here in Sedona.
ReplyDeleteWell spotted! They would be so easy to miss, but have made some beautiful photos. I've been out snapping water birds as well - but I can't identify them! blog http://goo.gl/9qx5t
ReplyDeleteI think 'the cutest thing ever' nails it.
ReplyDeleteOne of the best things about this time of year. Baby animals! Around here we are seeing calves, lambs, soon colts. Later there will be baby antelope, they are hard to photograph though because when you get the car stopped, mama runs away with baby close behind.
ReplyDeleteThey were difficult to see at first and I would have missed them without the close-up shots. Very cute!
ReplyDeletethey are adorable, and clever, why swim when you can float.
ReplyDeleteThat is just beyond words adorable. They blend right in, which is probably a good thing for the little guys.
ReplyDeleteAwww, super adorable! Ducklings are just so fun :)
ReplyDeleteHow fun! It was tough to spot them, so I'm glad you posted so many photos.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful capture Louise. Such innocent charm has been a much needed tonic today :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you
