I do love going to markets especially when on holidays. Recently I made a very brief visit to the Nelson Saturday Market whilst in New Zealand.
I love the colourful things
|
Cool shell poppies |
The colourful people
And the local delicacies on offer.
|
And that kids hair! |
|
Some fudge may have died in the making of this post |
Saturday Snapshot, is a wonderful weekly meme from Alyce at home with books
No trip to NZ is complete without the whitebait!
ReplyDeletePossibly, but I'm not really a white bait fan. I'd give mussel sausages a go though. Next time perhaps.
ReplyDeleteThe shell flowers are beautiful. How clever!
ReplyDeleteSometimes a little fudge has to die for the sake of writing. It's okay.
ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun! Thanks for sharing...and here's

My Saturday Snapshot
this does look like a fun market-and no I could not find the fleur de caramel sel-another friend wanted it and I looked and looked-that said I did not return to the market at Richard Lenoir on Sunday morning-I have been there many times before so that may have been the market where I purchased it.
ReplyDeleteI know it was in Paris at a market- and I remember the markets I visited on the trip where I got it-when I returned looking that was the one market I missed.
okay I am not sure if I published my comment so please excuse if this is a duplicate. I may have purchased the caramel fleur de sel at the R. Lenoir market on Sunday at the bastille. I went looking for it for a friend and could not find it-that was the one market I did not return to.
ReplyDeleteWhat great cheerful shots - the colorful poppies and the plates make me smile.
ReplyDeleteBut not as broadly as your fudge comment does.
:)
Love the pics and laughed at your some fudge may have died comment.... it would have died if I was there today too.... a sacrifice really :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to browse in that market. What wonderful things, and colours, to see. Thanks for sharing these interesting photos!
ReplyDeleteI spy a Pearly Queen. I wonder if she is an Eastender from London?

Hahaha! Poor fudge .....
ReplyDeleteI noticed the Pearly Queen too!!
ReplyDeleteI love markets as well.
Thanks for dropping by and visiting!
I love the poppies - but the Pearly Queen is a long way from Lonfon! My Snapshot is at http://goo.gl/GVIbC
ReplyDeleteI love those shell poppies. How unique!
ReplyDeleteThe shell flowers are lovely, but I am not sure about mussel sausage.
ReplyDeleteI love all of the bright colors, and the kid's hair is funky! I'd pass on most of the food other than the fudge.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I want to set a table with those dishes and the poppies! And then serve the fudge.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you killed that fudge, it is such a nuisance.
ReplyDeleteNice sequence of photos and comments♫♪ Happy week-end ♥
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see color! I'm eagerly awaiting spring up north and the return of brightness.
