Harriet the Spy
If only because then I will be as well read as Lisa Simpson (in one episode at least), and will have read Yertle the Turtle ("Possibly the best book ever written on the subject of turtle stacking."), To Kill a Mockingbird and Harriet the Spy.
The Girl Who Played with Fire
Because a lovely friend lent it to me last December and I still haven't read it. It was meant to be my Singapore book way back in June. And I felt slack about not having read it then.

The Three Musketeers
More a book I'm dying to Finish rather than Read.

When it Rains
A local author, I went to the launch of this book last week, of course got merchandised, and now I must read it.
The Sparrow
I've been wanting to read this for years, and then a lovely friend even sent me her copy all the way from America.
The Curse of the Labrador Duck
I got hooked by the reviews for this book when it came out, I bought it, and of course haven't read it.
Proust
I don't imagine that I'll ever get through all 6 volumes but I'd like to think that someday I'll have the time to try
Notre Dame de Paris
This was meant to be my Paris book for this year. I was planning to read it at night having had walked past Notre Dame every day. Will I wait til my next Parisian sojourn or read it in the interim? Time will tell.

Old Yeller
Because I just recently watched the movie of this for the first time, and now I'm intrigued to read the book. I'm sure I could learn even more about hydrophobe.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
I know it's Wrong. I know I probably won't like it. But I bought it and I want to give it a go.
I never get my Top 10 out on a Tuesday, it takes a while of mulling it over, and waiting for it to bubble up to the surface. The folks at brokeandbookish do a better job of it.
Oh gosh, the only one I've read here is The Three Musketeers! (I might have read Harriet the Spy. Then again, I might only have seen the movie. I really can't remember!)
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine loved PP&Z, but she hates Jane Austen, so I don't know if I can trust her opinion...
I really love the Stieg Larsson series and I also really enjoyed the films too (although I do prefer the books) :)
ReplyDeleteAll I've read is Steig Larsson and Victor Hugo.
ReplyDeleteGo for Hugo first - it's a very sad story....
Hannah, at least TTM is a great book to have read. I didn't know Harriet the Spy was a movie as well. Will have to check that out after I finally get around to reading the book.
ReplyDeleteNot Quite Nigella- I loved the first book of the Larsson series, and Really want to read the others. I'm going to have to give back the loaned book, and then buy one myself I think.
Kath- I do want to read Victor's stuff- I went to two of his houses when I was in Europe a few months ago, which just added to the draw. Still, I have a foolish notion that I should read it in Paris, so it will sadly sit unread for quite some time I fear.
Yay. I just realised that I've now finished 2 of these 10. That's 20% done, already. Have finished The Three Musketeers, and I read When It Rains last week. Both very enjoyable books.
